January 15, 1965 ~ August 29, 2019 (age 54)

Obituary

Manuel was the first baby born at Mineola General Hospital on January 15, 1965. He grew up in Mineola where he attended and graduated from Mineola High School in 1983. He attended Tyler Junior College, Texas College and was a member of the Mineola Mass Choir. He worked as a Security Guard at the Salvation Army in Dallas, TX. He later joined the Job Corp. in San Marcos, Tx.  Manuel was a very nice humble, loving, caring son to his Dad and Mom.

He was baptized at an early age at St. Paul Baptist Church Mineola, TX. He became a member of the Body of Christ at Southside Church Mineola, TX in 1997.

He worked closely with his uncle at the Lake Country Playhouse where he helped build sets and worked on lighting for theater plays. He enjoyed reading his bible and listening to Christian music. He would always call and ask some of his family if they were reading as well. As a kid, he was known for riding bikes, skating, free style dancing, doing the robot and pop locking with his brother and friends. He loved jazz music and his favorite singer was Sade. At a young age he enjoyed watching all night movies, and as an adult he and his wife spend time watching as they enjoyed each other’s company. He had a great sense of humor and was loved by everyone that came in contact with him.

Manuel leaves behind his wife of 18 years, Hazie Sampson.
