Lue L. Lindsey was born Wednesday, March 15, 1939, in Hawkins, Texas, to the parentage of Monroe and Lucy Murrell, she was the fourteenth of seventeen children. She departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, leaving her family and friends heartbroken
She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Zion Baptist Church, where she served faithfully. She later united with Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Reverend Marvin Holland.
Lue's education reared in the Hawkins Colored High School, her work history would include working in housekeeping for a bank for many years.
In 1986 she met and married Themious Lindsey, sharing some of the best years of their life together, being an exceptional homemaker, known for cooking her delicious sweet potatoes pies, cheesecake, and her famous devil eggs. She shared and blessed many with her baking and culinary skills.
Lue was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Lucy Murrell, one son, Ray Charles Wright, sisters, Clara Bell, Nellie Brown, Eldora Marry, Bertha Wood, Elberta Riley, Annie Vea Torrence, brothers, Robert, Edward Ray, George, Dennis, Clinton Charles, and Baby Boy Murrell.
Left to cherish her memories, two daughters, Linda Carolyn Wright, and Linda Gail Wright, two sons, Eddie W. Wright, Jr. and James Edward Wright, two sisters, Betty Jean Murrell, and Helen Jones, one brother, Madison James Murrell, eight grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
