Sister Leluea Mae Arnold was born Thursday, July 8, 1937, in Quitman, Texas to the parentage of James Bert and Barney Mae Clark Harper. Monday, January 6, 2025, God in his infinite wisdom, called her home from her 87 th year of laboring to offer her rest in his kingdom.
At an early age, she was baptized at Brock Chapel where she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She would later unite with Inspiring Body of Christ in Dallas, Texas where she remained a member until her death.
Leluea’s life was dedicated to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family. She found her greatest love in teaching life lessons, all while building a foundation with a legacy to be remembered by all.
In her youth she attended Quitman Colored School located in Quitman, Texas, and later graduated from W. B. Clark High School in Quitman, Texas.
Leluea was proceeded in death by her parents, nine siblings: Travis Gene Harper, James Bert Harper, Jr., Robert Lewis, Barney Charles Harper, Johnny Paul Harper, King David Harper, Bertestda Bush, Emma Lee Russell and Helen Marie Polk, One daughter, Kerthine M. Arnold, son in law, Reginald Lee, and a grandson, Irenshawn Arnold.
Left to continue her legacy, one son Ira Arnold (Wanda), two daughters: Jamecia Arnold Finnie and Alesia Lee. grandchildren: Ashanti, Skye, Iris, Aumtrial, Doctor Jamecia Lynn, Jacobbey, Shawnell, Jovonish, and Norman. 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
