Lee Bertha Johnson was born in Mineola, Texas on Tuesday, February 11, 1941, to the parentage of Arthur Lee Clark and LC Wooten. She and her sibling were raised in Mineola, Texas, where she began her Christian walk at an early age. Serving and worshiping at Sidney Temple Church of God in Christ for more than sixty years.
In her youth she attended McFarland School, where she met Loyd Johnson and they were married in 1958, and to this union, seven children were born. Lee Bertha served on the Board of Housing Authority and worked in the healthcare industry for over thirty years as a CNA at the Wood Memorial nursing facility.
On Thursday, July 2, 2026, God called Lee Bertha from labor to reward. She now rests with her loved ones in Glory.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Arthur and LC Clark, husband, Reverend Loyd Johnson, one sister; Dorothy Jones, and one brother, Melvin E. Clark.
Lee Bertha will be remembered and cherished by her children, Loyd C. Johnson, Latonya Johnson, Trueies Johnson (Jimmy), Mark A. Johnson (Lora), Jerome L. Johnson (Linda), Pamela D. Johnson and Patricia S. Jackson. One brother, Arthur Lee Clark (Margaret), two sisters, Ethelean Medford and Patricia Dews (Ben). 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
